Ecobloom is Cancelled.

Due to an extreme heat advisory for Saturday (high of 97 degrees with a heat index up to 114), we have decided to cancel Ecobloom. Though we were expecting it to be hot (duh, it’s July), that is just dangerous. Especially for our vendors and volunteers that would be working outside for around 8 hours in the middle of the day. We doubt many shoppers would want to be out in it for very long either.

We sincerely apologize to anyone this might inconvenience! We ask that if you have told your friends about this event through email and social networks that you notify them of the cancellation.

Thank you so much for your support and enthusiasm for this event. St. Louis is just an amazing city! We encourage you to shop for local indie crafts at the following upcoming shows:

Soulard Market Park Arts & Crafts Fair – August 13th, 9am-3pm
and
Strange Folk Festival - September 24th-25th, 10am-6pm

There are also many shops in the area that carry merchandise made by our vendors and other eco-friendly local artists, why not check out thier awesome air-conditioned locations instead on Saturday?!

The Foundrie
Fusion
Charm Boutique
St. Louis Curio Shop
Cranky Yellow (Cherokee Stroll is still going on this Saturday!)
Circa

Thanks again everyone! Stay cool and green!

EcoBloom Vendors Announced

We have 40 awesome indie crafters participating in this year’s event! You can preview all of them on our vendor page, and find out what efforts they make to be green. Whether it’s upcycling or using natural materials, all our vendors are doing their part to help the planet. When you buy handmade wares at EcoBloom, you are not only supporting local small businesses, but also reducing fossil fuel emissions, and keeping usable materials out of landfills. Overseas manufacturing often causes air and water pollution on top of widespread unethical labor practices. Instead of consumption having a negative impact, it can make a positive impact – when you connect with another person through their thoughtful creations.
